A serious collision closed the intersection of
Eglinton and Martin Grove Rd. at the height of the afternoon holiday weekend getaway Friday. Two victims were trapped for several hours in a vehicle flattened by a five ton truck, which turned over onto it while taking evasive action. Two air ambulances - one from London - were needed to transport the victims to hospital for treatment. The squashed vehicle was under contract to Wheel Trans and one of the victims was in a wheelchair.There's no word on the condition of the injured patients or if charges are pending. The intersection was closed off for part of the afternoon, along with the highway ramps leading to the scene.
