One-month-old Abbygail Elizabeth Dice went missing Thursday, after local police found the girl's mother unconscious in a St. Thomas apartment.
The discovery sparked an intensive, city-wide search of the town south of London that continued Friday.
Officers went door-to-door searching for the little girl, but still have minimal information. Some neighbours in the building didn't even know a child was living there.
"I've never encountered them, I didn't even know there was a baby down there," one building resident said. "I think they were new people."
London Police are also part of the search, but have yet to comment on their role in the investigation.
"Investigators are speaking with the mother now at the hospital," a local police representative said. "The searchers are still continuing the search in the general area of the residence."
Police say the child could be wearing
a pink and orange striped jumper.
