We're number nine!
O.K., so it doesn't have the ring to it that the number one designation gets.
But at least we made the list.
Lonely Planet, a website devoted to everything travel, has assembled its annual Travellers' Pulse Survey, an online questionnaire that asks almost 18,000 people from 132 countries about the place they most enjoyed seeing on their journeys and where they're hoping to go next.
The winner this year for upcoming visit is the U.S., knocking Australia off the top of the list, a place it's held for four years. Britain comes in third.
And there's a newcomer to the rankings this year - Canada makes the top ten for next destination, coming in at number nine. And considering all the possible exotic spots there are around the globe, that's a respectable ranking.
We're now a step ahead of China, which deflates from its 8th place finish last year, despite the looming presence of the Olympics. Greece dropped off the list in 2008.
Experts think the U.S. got the number one nod because of the sinking American dollar, which makes traveling to the country a lot cheaper. But Australia remains the place most say is the best they've visited. (We're number 9 on that list, too, a space we also occupied in 2007.)
"Australia is a classic destination for travellers which has so much to offer, it's likely to remain popular with travellers for a long time to come," Lonely Planet marketing analyst Adam Stanford suggests in a statement.
The Canadian inclusion is at least a glimmer of good news at a time when tourism dollars are shrinking, as gas prices force people to cut back on travelling and airlines struggle with bankruptcy and introduce sometimes onerous service charges to try and keep their businesses flying.
