The Toys for Tots drive often brings out the best in people.
But last month, the charity was hit with some of the worst of human behaviour.
A van full of the gifts was stolen from outside a Salvation Army in northwest Toronto.
The program, run by Peel Regional Police and the Salvation Army, distributes toys to needy children across the GTA.
Toronto Police believe that someone made off with the truck on September 26. It had been parked in the Rexdale Boulevard and Bethridge Road area.
Just over a week later, there’s still no sign of the goods.
Officers are looking for a white trailer, license plate E31 351. The trailer itself is labeled 4848 on both the rear door and the front.
Along the side, there are blue and white stickers reading “Load King Trailer Rentals.”
