Police are on the hunt for a man in his 30s who ditched his car after a bizarre joyride in the city’s east end.

They say around 5pm Wednesday an erratic driver crashed into another car near Warden and Hollis avenues - and within minutes was in the Kingston Road and Midland Avenue area, smashing more cars along the way.

He drove up onto the front lawn of a house on Chine Drive before continuing down the street and fleeing on foot.

"I heard a loud crash. I looked out the window and there's a car in my front yard," described homeowner John McFadden.

The suspect then allegedly broke into a home to use the phone and made off with some clothing. He was last seen fleeing south toward the Scarborough Bluffs.

One woman, whose car was t-boned by the man’s SUV, was transported to hospital.
