Man Dead, 4 Injured In Separate Shootings Overnight

A man is dead and four people are in hospital after separate shootings overnight.

In the latest, police say a suspect opened fire around 3am inside a pub in Peanut Plaza on Don Mills Road East, north of Sheppard Avenue.

According to witnesses, the shooting continued outside in the parking lot. And by the time officers arrived, one man was dead. Two others were taken to Sunnybrook hospital with minor gunshot wounds.

Detectives are looking for two suspects. The first is described as male, black, with a heavy build and weighing around 300 lbs. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and a white T-shirt. The second is male, black, with a skinny build. He was wearing dark clothing and a blue baseball cap.

More than an hour earlier, two males were shot while at a bus stop at Jane Street and Lawrence Avenue West.

When police got to the scene, the victims had already found their way to a nearby hospital. They are both in stable condition.

Police have not yet released any information about suspects in that shooting.
