GO Transit Pile Driving Still A Noisy Nuisance For Junction Residents

Non-stop noise continues to be the source of frustration for Junction residents.

The all-day pounding of four pile drivers in the Dundas and Dupont area are the result of  GO Transit 's continued expansion of its West Toronto Diamond rail and while the company's promised to explore quieter methods, people in the neighbourhood want something in writing immediately.

Tony Nabico says vibrations from the driving are destroying his body shop, so much so that project workers had to come over and provide extra reinforcement for the building.

"The wall is starting to crack," Nabico lamented.

Neighbours say if they don't get GO's plans on paper immediately they'll ask the Canadian Transportation Agency to step in and mediate the dispute.
