A teen has died in hospital after being shot several times in a west end apartment building Christmas day.

Multiple shots were fired at 200 Woolner Avenue around 4pm.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found the teen in the hallway of the fourth floor. He had been shot twice in the head and once in the arm.

The homicide unit is on scene investigating, but the building is open to residents and people are free to come and go. At this point it’s not clear if the victim was a resident or a visitor.

There’s no word on suspects at this point. This marks Toronto’s 60th homicide of 2010. 2009 saw 61 homicides.
