Authorities have identified the man murdered this week in an east end apartment building.

Venacio Julien, 27, was murdered in a brazen midday shooting Wednesday inside an apartment building at 1021 Birchmount Rd., near Eglinton. Officers found Julien in a first-floor hallway just after 2:30pm.

The man was pronounced dead on the way to hospital. His death marks the city’s second murder of the year.
