An argument between two men has resulted in Peel Region's 11th murder of the year.

It happened at an address on Warwickshire Way near Eglinton and Mavis in Mississauga just before noon Wednesday.

Police were called after someone dialed 911 about a disturbance at the residence. When they arrived, they discovered 45-year-old Mustaeen Siddiqi suffering from stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital but died from his injuries.

It didn't take long for investigators to arrest a 23-year-old man they at first thought might have been related to the victim. But they now believe Salik Bin Sajid isn't part of the man's family.

Cops have yet to say what led to the killing, but they appear to believe it was premeditated. They're expected to charge Sajid with first degree murder when he appears in court on Thursday.

Investigators are still putting together the pieces of the puzzle in this one. If you can help, call (905) 453-2121, ext. 3205 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS.
