Video footage of a Toronto police officer threatening to shock a detained man in the testicles with a Taser was released during his trial on Monday.
Constable Christopher Hominuk, 37, pleaded guilty to one count of threatening bodily harm after the incident was caught on tape by a police cruiser camera.
Hominuk, who has been on the force for 13 years, was responding to a theft call in Etobicoke when he made the threats.
The video shows a handcuffed man laying in the back seat of a cruiser.
An officer can be heard asking, "Whose your buddy that ran?"
"I honestly don't know his name, man," the suspect says.
The officer then puts a Taser to the man's neck.
"I'm gonna tase you in the neck," he can be heard saying.
Not long after, another suspect is seen seated in the back of the cruiser. After briefly questioning him regarding the identity of another man, the officer pounces on him and places the Taser at his groin.
"I'm gonna tase your ****** nuts," he warns.
The court was told the officer did not discharge his Taser on either of the men.
Hominuk was charged and suspended without pay last June.
He's scheduled to be sentenced at the College Park courthouse June 14.
