One of the suspects wanted in connection with the murder of a man in a Scarborough highrise earlier this month has turned himself into police.

Aasif Patel, 19, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Lorenzo Martinez, 23. He turned himself into police on Saturday.

Martinez was found shot to death in the lobby of an apartment building at 70 Stevenvale Dr. around 8pm on Friday Feb. 11. That’s in the Lawrence Avenue East and Markham Road area.

Police are still looking for another suspect in Martinez’s death, Wariskhan Pathan, 19. He is also facing a charge of first-degree murder.

Pathan is urged to contact a lawyer and turn himself in. Anyone who sees him is asked not to approach him and instead call 9-1-1.
