E. coli has been found in President's Choice beef, the
Canadian Food Inspection Agency has warned.
The fresh products - frozen ones are not affected - were sold both in plastic wrap as well as at in-store meat counters.
The products were sent to stores in Atlantic Canada, Ontario and Quebec.
The recall is related to the expanded recall of beef products in the USA by JBS Swift Beef Company located in Greeley, Colorado.
Roasts, steaks and ground beef with best before dates of April 29 through June 16 are part of the alert.
If you've got any of the following products at home, just throw them out, the Food Agency advised.

While no illnesses have been reported, the CFIA is sounding the alarm for a number of reasons. Among them, contaminated meat may not look or smell spoiled.
Symptoms of E. coli include:
- severe abdominal pain
- bloody diarrhea
Some people may have seizures or strokes and some may need blood transfusions and kidney dialysis. Others may live with permanent kidney damage. In severe cases of illness, people may die.
