Garbage Strike Enters Week Three

They may only be receiving a paltry $200 a week in strike pay, but morale remains high on picket lines across the city as a strike by civic workers at the height of summer entered its third week.

They also believe the public is starting to see their side of things.

"Slowly people are coming on side," said picket captain Bill Steele.  "And now they are looking at David Miller saying 'you're the cause of the strike, you're prolonging it, you're polluting our parks,' and they are getting pretty tired of it, it's not us."
