Mayor Rob Ford had strong words for Premier Dalton McGuinty on Wednesday, telling NewsTalk1010 that “Ford Nation” was prepared to vote him out of office in the upcoming provincial election.

Ford was responding to McGuinty’s refusal to give Toronto more money. Earlier this week, Toronto asked Queen’s Park for $150 million to fund road construction and repairs, transit projects, subsidized childcare, housing programs and services for immigrants.

Ford also wanted cash for a Fort York visitor centre.

McGuinty denied the request, saying Ontario was focusing on its own deficit, which hit $9 billion.

Ford had previously criticized other mayor’s attempts to get more money from the provincial and federal governments.
