Toronto police identify the city’s latest murder victim

Police have now identified a man found dead in the city’s downtown core.

On Thursday, March 3 around 3:20pm, police were called to 934 Ossington Avenue with reports of unknown trouble.

When they arrived, they found a man suffering from obvious signs of trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Allan Lanteigne, 49, of Toronto.

Police say Lanteigne went to work the previous day and returned home to 934 Ossington Ave shortly after 5:30pm.

There’s no word on suspects in this case.

Police are asking anyone that may have seen Lanteigne on Wednesday, March 2 or with information to contact Detective Sergeant Dan Nielson at (416) 808-7398 or Crime Stoppers at (416) 222-TIPS.
