One man is dead following a shooting a Brampton banquet hall.

Kearn Nedd, 28, died in hospital on Saturday. Police were called to The Rozz Restaurant at 200 Advance Blvd. around 2:50 p.m. on April 15. There, they found Nedd with life-threatening injuries.

He was taken to hospital where he later died.

"There was a function going on," Cst. Wayne Patterson told CityNews.

"We're not certain exactly what this function was, whether it was a poker game or another function," Patterson said.

Nedd death marks Peel Region’s fifth murder of the year.

Little is known about the suspects. Investigators are looking for two men.

Anyone with information can call police 905-453-2121, ext. 3205 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or visit www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.
