"Knobless" Woman Stuck In Home Emails BT For Help

It's the kind of thing that could only happen to a fan of Kevin Frankish . A woman who emailed BT Tuesday morning had a big dilemma. Her home was undergoing a paint job and to her extreme surprise, she suddenly discovered she was trapped inside. It turns out the door knobs had been removed from her room and she couldn't figure out a way to open the only exit.

"So after I got done painting, I'm like I can't get the door open. And I'm like, what am I going to do? I just painted myself in this room!" recalled Lori Da Rosa.

With no phone handy and not wanting to scream or wake up her family or the neighbours, she turned to a computer in the room and composed the following bizarre plea for assistance to the only person she knew who would be sure to check his email that early in the AM: Breakfast Television host Kevin Frankish.

"I sent him an e-mail saying 'help me. I'm stuck in the room,' " she recalled.

Kevin promptly called Lori's husband, kicking off the less-than-dramatic, but certainly humourous rescue attempt.

Her husband took the situation with a grain of salt.

"Living with Lori you never know what to expect," said Ed Galati.  "Well, Kevin, welcome to my world and thanks for taking it on just for a few minutes."

Here's the full letter Lori sent Kevin.

"Hi Kevin I am stuck in my room. I was watching your TV show this morning and painting bedroom doors. My doors do not have handles yet and I closed the door and locked myself in the room. Ya ya, this is funny, however I am in a 2-storey house and my husband is sleeping in the main floor at the back of the house. I do not want to scream, I will wake up the neighbourhood. Thank goodness I have this computor (sic) and a TV at least. I looked around the room and nothing is around to get me out, the door is tight and I am stuck. I am laughing at myself. Could you do me a favour and call my husband, (905) xxx-xxxx. The phone is also in the bedroom.

See I try to get ahead of the game and paint doors, I started at 6:30 and now I cannot go any further before work. I will sit and await to see if you go this message, if not then I will scream.

Thanks,

Lori.

P.S. My husband's name is Ed
