An 18-year-old man has died after a stabbing at a west end apartment in Toronto on Wednesday afternoon.

Police were called to a highrise near Wilson Avenue and Keele Street around 3:30 p.m.

The teen was stabbed in the chest.

He was rushed to Sunnybrook hospital where he died, police confirmed.

“A little earlier in the afternoon, I heard a bunch of sirens. Police cars and ambulances came storming in, fire trucks, and apparently some man got wheeled out on a stretcher. He was stabbed up on the third floor of the building,” said a resident.

A 37-year-old man was taken into custody. No further details were available.
