Police have charged a 37-year-old Toronto man in the stabbing death of a teen on Wednesday afternoon.

The attack happened around 3:30 p.m. in a highrise on Wilson Avenue, west of Keele Street.

According to police, Derrick Oram fled after stabbing Khalfani (Jordan) Haughton, 18, in a fight in one of the building’s hallways. Haughton was the 30th homicide victim this year, police said.

Paramedic took Haughton to Sunnybrook hospital where he died.

Oram was caught nearby and charged with second-degree murder.

He was due in court Thursday morning.
