A 48-year-old Toronto man has died after a shooting early Saturday morning in Scarborough.

It happened around 4 a.m. in Clarendon Wild Flowers, a bar at Birchmount Road and Danforth Avenue.

The victim was taken to St. Michael's Hospital with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead.

He was later identified as Evrod (Rockfort) Gordon.

Police have not yet arrested any suspects.

“There was what we believe several patrons in the restaurant at the time – some of them have given statements,” said Det. Sgt Graham Gibson of the homicide squad.

“But we believe there are several more patrons who have not come in to speak to us.

“I’m asking now that they know that this person has died … that they come forward and tell us what happened.”

Gibson would not reveal where the man was hit, but said there would be an autopsy on Sunday.

The death is Toronto’s 35th homicide of the year.
