Homicide investigators are probing the circumstances of a shooting near Victoria Park and Eglinton late Sunday that claimed a man’s life.
Shots rang out around 11:15 p.m. at 90 Parma Ct. The victim, said to be in his early 20s, was rushed to Sunnybrook hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police are still trying to confirm the victim's identity.
Many people familiar with the area say they aren’t surprised by the violence.
“I used to live here with my fiancée, but we moved out. Too dangerous. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone to live here” said Paul, a former resident.
This fatal shooting marks the city's 37th homicide of the year.
No suspect descriptions have been released.
