Looking for a job that no one else wants but pays well for working less than five minutes?
Of course you do.
So did Bernd Dressler, a Berlin economist.
Only he figured out a way to make it happen.
Dressler is the bearer of bad news.
For just over $75 Canadian, he'll go up to a client's significant other and tell them the relationship is over. The sort of "bad news-ogram" prevents timid, lazy or just plain cowardly mates from having to do the dirty work themselves.
Bernd simply knocks on their door, delivers the message that it's over, and then walks away from the job with the cash in his pocket. He claims each assignment takes only about three minutes.
But he admits the job does have its drawbacks.
"I almost never get invited in for a coffee," he told a Berlin newspaper. "Most of the time they're totally surprised."
And business is booming. Over the last year, Dressler has delivered his malevolent message for at least 200 people.
Which proves that breaking up is hard to do - unless you have someone to do it for you.
