A 20-year-old man killed in a double shooting in Etobicoke early Friday has been identified.
Nigel Caine, the city's 40th homicide victim this year, was shot in the back multiple times and was pronounced dead in hospital.
The shots rang out around 12 a.m. on Crendon Drive, near Renforth Drive and Burnhamthorpe Road.
A second man, 19, was shot in the head during the exchange of gunfire. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
At least one witness reported seeing a newer-model silver vehicle fleeing the scene.
