Police Hope Surveillance Pics Will Lead Them To Murder Suspects

Homicide detectives are hoping security camera pictures will bring them leads in the senseless killing of a woman at a suspected booze can.

Thirty-year-old Rachel Alleyne died and three others were injured when suspects fired as many as 20 rounds into the backyard where an illegal bar was allegedly operating on Driftwood Ave.

On Thursday police revealed camera stills of three suspects they believe could be involved in the shooting.

"Whether it's gang related or not, even long-time gang members indicate shock at the senselessness of the murder of a woman who was just sitting on a patio enjoying a drink with friends," said Det. Sgt. Pauline Gray.

Bullets also pierced through two houses, each with children inside.  Luckily no one else was hurt.

Residents say the area has its share of trouble but they have to stay because the housing is cheap.
