A man who was charged with possessing explosive substances in the days
before last year's G20 summit in Toronto is back in court on Monday.
Last month, Byron Sonne, 39, pleaded not guilty to all five charges against him, including possession of explosive substances and counselling others to commit mischief.
Sonne was arrested June 22, 2010, just days before world leaders arrived
in Toronto for the summit, and remained in jail until he was granted
bail in May. He spent 330 days behind bars.
The Toronto Star reported Monday that the trial won't resume until the judge in the case rules on whether police violated Sonne’s Charter rights during their investigation.
