Driver Survives Horrifying Crash Caught On Tape

It is a heart stopping scene, one so incredible you'd think it would have been impossible for anyone to have survived. But 27-year-old Josh Carmin did. The Springfield, Ohio motorist appears to have run a red light on Tuesday and headed straight into the worst thing possible - an oncoming tractor trailer.

Carmin's car was caught on camera hitting the truck, getting wedged underneath and then being dragged along for more than 150 feet before the man in the cab of that big rig realized something was wrong.

Rescue crews worked feverishly to get Carmin out of the wreckage and rush him to hospital. He remains in serious condition but despite the crushing nature of the accident, it appears he'll live to tell the tale.

Authorities examining the tape say the streets were wet at the time of the impact and that Carmin hit the brakes to stop. But the slippery nature of the pavement made that impossible. The driver of the truck escaped without injury.
