Police are investigating a vandalism spree in Scarborough.

A 49-year-old man is in custody after police allege he returned to a home that he was evicted from and damaged the property.

Police say he smashed windows at 3 Summer Drive and then damaged vehicles at a nearby car dealership.

The suspect then rode his bicycle to nearby Kennedy Rd., where police say he broke into another residence, causing more property damage.

Police then surrounded the home and made an arrest.

Officers say the suspect was intoxicated and armed with a knife.

He was taken to a nearby hospital after injuring himself during the alleged vandalism spree.
