Peel police have made an arrest after a standoff with a man at a home in Mississauga.

"Incident on Chada Drive has been resolved without incident, perimeter to be lifted shortly. No injuries," police posted on Twitter.

No further details were immediately available about the arrest.

Nearby Ellengale Public School, was placed in “hold and secure” mode as a precaution while police investigated the incident. Officials said it would be lifted shortly.
