Once a favourite of some of the biggest visiting stars from Hollywood, Bistro 990 has announced it will soon be closing its doors to make space for a 32-storey condo.

Having received frequent visits from big stars like Sharon Stone and William Shatner, the restaurant, located at 990 Bay St., near Wellesley Street, will now be replaced by a major condo tower.

It's not clear when the location will serve its last dish, but gone will be the days of the after-hours parties hosted in 990 Bistro's private upstairs lounge.

It's unknown whether the bistro will close for good or will relocate.

For those wanting to visit Bistro 990, you can do so through Winterlicious up until February 9.
