The hold and secure placed at two Scarborough schools has been lifted, following the arrest of a teen in the city's east end.
The 18 year old youth was in custody, but few other details were immediately available.
Students at Sir Robert L. Borden Business and Technical Institute and St. Martin de Porres Catholic School kept their students inside the buildings, while officers canvassed the area near Lawrence and Morningside.
St. Martin said the hold and secure was placed shortly after noon and lifted at 1 p.m.
Borden's principal said the incident had nothing to do with any of his students and that it was a "community-based issue." Borden's hold and secure was issued around 12:15 p.m. and lifted at about 1:30 p.m., he said.
