A house in Rexdale was seriously damaged in a fire on Sunday morning.
Fire fighters were called to the home on Boniface Avenue, near Highway 401 and Islington Avenue, just before 1 a.m.
One witness reported seeing flames coming out of the basement.
"Thank god nobody was home," neighbour Donna told CityNews.
"My understanding it's a young couple with two-month-old baby."
It's not yet known what caused the fire.
