Mike Pimentel.
Police are asking for help in tracking down a woman they believe was with the person who stabbed Mike Pimentel to death in Liberty Village early New Year’s Day.

Pimentel got separated from friends after leaving the Liberty Grand banquet hall on the Exhibition grounds and was found near East Liberty Street and Hanna Avenue around 3 a.m. suffering from stab wounds. He died in hospital.

Authorities released a description of the woman on Monday and they’re urging her to contact a lawyer and then contact the homicide squad.

The person of interest investigators want to speak with is described as: 20 to 30 years old, between five feet, six inches and five feet, eight inches tall and has dark hair with long, blond hair extensions. She was last seen wearing black knee-high boots, a black shirt with a white top and a black, waist-length jacket with a design on the back.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the homicide squad at (416) 808-7400 or Crime Stoppers at (416) 222-TIPS.
