Toronto police have made an arrest following a weekend shooting at York University.

Officers said they will say more at a news conference Thursday. The conference was originally scheduled for Wednesday but was postponed.

Emergency crews were called to the scene around on Assiniboine Road at 6:45 a.m. Saturday with reports of a shooting.

Police say that a shot was fired through an apartment door in one of the student dormitories.

There was a resident at home when the shooting took place, but no one was hurt in the incident.
