Police say girl assaulted in elevator of Jane St. apartment building

Police are asking for help from the public finding a suspect after a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in the elevator of an apartment building on Jane Street near Finch.

The girl told police the attack happened between 10:25 p.m. and 10:41 p.m. on Wednesday in the elevator at 4500 Jane St., at Driftwood Avenue.

The suspect is described as:

  • male, white with olive complexion
  • 20 to 25 years old
  • five feet, nine inches tall
  • 175 pounds 
  • thick brown hair, bushy eyebrows and a moustache

The man was wearing blue jeans, a black coat with a hood, dark blue gloves with red stripes and grey canvas shoes.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at (416) 808-3100 or Crime Stoppers at (416) 222-TIPS.
