Building fire temporarily closes King near Parliament

King Street was closed as crews battled a fire near Parliament on March 2, 2012. CITYNEWS.

Firefighters are trying to put out a fire at a building on King Street East near Parliament in the city's east end.

The building at 431 King St. E., which houses residences and a medical clinic, was evacuated after the fire began shortly before 2 p.m. There have been no reports of injuries.

King from Parliament Street to Sumach Street was closed for about three hours while crews investigated, but it has since reopened.
