The Special Investigations Unit was called in to probe an early morning shooting near High Park that involved police.
Authorities were called to a pharmacy on
Garden Avenue near Roncesvalles north of Queen around 4am Saturday.
A man was reportedly shot in the chest following a confrontation with authorities. He was rushed to hospital with no vital signs and was pronounced dead later that morning.
The SIU is called every time someone is hurt in an incident involving police.
