On Friday, a quiet neighbourhood was pierced by gunfire.
A man parked in a driveway
allegedly shot at group of people across the street. But what he didn't know was that the crowd was full of plainclothes police officers.
The shooter took off in a 2006 Silver Accura, and police gave chase.
They found the car on Oak Knolls Crescent, and the suspect at a McDonalds' near
Port Union Road and Sheppard Ave. E.
Germaine Roberts, 31, faces several charges:
- Discharge Firearm endanger life (6 counts),
- Possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order,
- Unauthorized presence of a firearm in a motor vehicle,
- Carry Concealed Weapon, Fail to comply Recognizance, Fail to stop for Police
Roberts was allegedly driving a dark coloured, 4-door, 2006 Silver Acura.
