Torontonians Enjoy Unseasonably Warm Weather

It seems a white Christmas in the GTA is growing less and less likely, but then again, who guessed that with late November drawing near there would be temperatures in the low teens?

That's what happened in Toronto Sunday, as a daytime high of 13 degrees Celsius had people out doing their holiday shopping wondering just what month of the year it actually was.

That mark was less than one degree shy of the all-time high for the day, and more than 10 higher than the seasonal average.

Of course the nice weather meant shopping in a crowded mall wasn't the only way to spend the day, as many took to outdoor activities ranging from seasonal classics like ice-skating all the way to summer favourites like golf.

"It wasn't like this last year," recalled one of the 50 or so golfers out at the Oakdale Golf and Country Club (pictured).

"Last year it was snowing at this time."

And while the lack of cold and thus, the lack of snow are exciting to many, there are always those winter traditionalists that miss the blustery conditions.

The good news for those folks is while there may not be any fresh powder on the ground, the spring jackets that most donned Sunday will in fact soon be put back on the hook in favour of the puffy parkas.
