Shots rang out in the city's west end overnight.

No one was hurt but an SUV was sprayed with bullets in the disturbing incident, which occurred near the intersection of Dundas St. W. and Scarlett Rd. The Envoy's windows were shattered and a bullet hole could be seen in the driver's side door.

It's unclear what precipitated the violence but both men who were inside the SUV now face charges.

Police also took a third person into custody.

Investigators were at the scene looking for shell casings and other clues as to what happened.

No names have been released and there's no word on charges.
