Normally when it's garbage day, the big Toronto trucks take away the trash. But on Tuesday, one of them made a very unexpected delivery.
Officials raced to a home on
Vanevery St in the Royal York and Lakeshore area around 2pm, after a huge garbage truck left road, mounted the sidewalk and plowed into a house.
Structural damage to the property is said to be significant, and the truck's wheels were still moving when it hit.
But thankfully there were no injuries.
It was a rude intrusion for the lone occupant inside the residence at the time, who managed to escape the worst of the blow.
It's now believed a medical problem may have led to the driver veering off the road. It's said he may have suffered a panic attack at the scene.
A damage estimate is pending.
