Truck Hijacked In York Region.

York Regional Police were met with a surprise as they investigated reports of a hijacked truck: the discovery of another vehicle, stolen in June.

A driver told officers that he'd been hijacked in Belleville just before 5am on Wednesday. He reported that his rig was driven to Richmond Hill, and the trailer loaded with beef was taken away.

The search took police to Highway 48 and Bloomington Road, where they found an empty trailer. The truck was allegedly was stolen last month from Toronto.

While the trailer was in one piece, its load of coin-operated washing machines was gone.
