Four-Alarm Danforth Blaze Considered Suspicious

Police are treating a four-alarm fire that broke out at an auto body shop overnight as suspicious.

Flames broke out at about 1:30am Wednesday at the auto body business located at 2377 Danforth Ave. just west of Westlake Ave. The blaze quickly grew to four-alarm status and area residences were evacuated over concerns relating to the shop chemicals burning and air quality.

TTC buses were brought in to help keep affected residents warm as fire crews extinguished the blaze.

Police were brought in to investigate the blaze, described as suspicious.
