Cheyenne Weir is a lot like most teenagers. She spent plenty of time online and loved to chat over the Internet. Now her guardians and police both fear those virtual conversations have led her down a very dangerous path - and they no longer know where she is.
Weir is a 14-year-old
Blackstock, Ontario girl who first raised concerns when she didn't turn up for school on Wednesday. No one has heard from her since and that's led to instant suspicion that she may have fled to be with a man she met in a chat room.
Cops discovered she developed some kind of a relationship with a 22-year-old over the last year. They think she orchestrated her own disappearance and may be with him now. But where either one of them is and whether she's safe remains an open - and disturbing - question.
Among the telltale signs that something is up: she packed some of her clothes and withdrew money from her bank account before she left.
Investigators think she may be in either Toronto or Coboconk, but there's no way to know unless she's spotted in either locale.
And that's where you come in.
