An OPP helicopter is being utilized in the continued search for missing 18-year-old Mariam Makhniashvili.

The chopper was summoned Friday morning to re-examine Earl Bales Park and nearby Sherwood Park.
Police say visibility from the air has improved since most trees in the park have lost their leaves.

The missing teen was last seen outside Forest Hill Collegiate Institute on September 14th.

Computers from two libraries near her school were seized in late October, but so far police have not revealed any substantial leads in her disappearance. It appears that there was no indication that Mariam lived an alternate, online life.

According to her parents, she left home with no money, no passport and no extra clothes.

"I don't expect any news," her father Vakhtang said.

"That's good news," he added, "because it's a body search."
