A 15-year-old girl was struck and killed by a York Transit bus Thursday.
The teen was hit around 3:45pm and pinned under the bus near Pine Valley Drive and Willis Road area in Vaughan.
"We were just basically talking to her - trying to keep her talking until the paramedics got here," described witness Jackie Pasino.
"All she was saying was, 'Help me please,' and 'I can't move." After about five minutes she didn't say anything anymore. She just kind of faded away from us."
An air ambulance was ordered but called off when the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The area was shut down well into the evening and motorists were being advised to avoid the area.
In an incident a couple hours later, at about 6pm, a 49-year-old woman was struck and killed near Birchmount and Ellesmere roads. The vehicle was reportedly from out of town.
And just before 7pm, a 52-year-old woman was hit by a vehicle near Jane Street and Wilson Avenue.
She was rushed to Sunnybrook hospital in serious condition.
