A 15-year-old boy is among the three people arrested, so far, for the murder of George Kalogerakis, the 38-year-old Brampton man police say was shot to death during a home invasion, reportedly in front of his mother.

Authorities said the deadly heist happened just after 1am Thurs., Nov. 12 on Earth Star Trail. When officers arrived, they found Kalogerakis suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to hospital, where he later died.

Authorities reportedly found the victim’s mother bound to a chair. She’d been hurt and had apparently witnessed her son’s murder.

On Wednesday, police arrested 21-year-old Shevon Bailey and a 15-year-old boy, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. They’re both charged with first-degree murder and were scheduled to appear in a Brampton court Thursday.

A third suspect, Isaac Kwakye, 18, was also arrested Saturday. He’s also charged with first-degree murder. He appeared in court Sunday and was remanded into custody.

Investigators are still searching for more suspects, who they say should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.

If you have any information that could help detectives, call Peel Police at (905) 453-2121 ex. 3205 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

Less than a week after this crime, Toronto Police reported yet another home invasion in which a man was murdered.

Three masked men burst into a home at 129 Wincott Dr. and fatally shot 28-year-old Alex Rundle on Tuesday.
