Four people have been transported to hospital after a serious crash Thursday afternoon.
It happened on the Bayview-Bloor Ramp of the Don Valley Parkway, shutting down traffic on northbound Bayview Avenue at Rosedale Valley Road.
Emergency crews extracted two people from a vehicle, including the driver, who was listed in serious condition.
There’s no word yet on what caused the collision.
Two People Hurt In Head-On Crash
Two women were taken to hospital early Thursday after a head-on crash at Weston Road and Major Mackenzie.
The accident, involving a car and van, happened around 4am. It took crews about half an hour to remove the victims from the wreckage.
One woman suffered neck and back injuries and the other woman’s injuries are described as minor.
Brinks Truck Robbed
Police have one man in custody are searching for a second suspect after a Brinks truck was robbed in Brampton Wednesday night.
The armoured car rammed the suspects’ getaway vehicle.
It’s not known if the suspect who’s still at large managed to get away with any cash.
Armed Robbery
Three men armed with guns held up a Mac’s store at Renforth, south of Eglinton early Thursday.
Police said the suspects only got a small amount of cash and the clerk wasn’t hurt.
Downtown Fire
No injuries were reported after flames broke out at a residence on Isabella, east of Jarvis.
Some people in a neighbouring building were forced outside as crews dealt with the fire and heavy smoke.
