Police are now calling a suspicious death a homicide after the body of a 29-year-old woman was discovered in an Oshawa home earlier this week.

A 911 call brought officers to the house on Graburn Avenue just after 2pm Monday where they found Tammy Lewis' body. A 30-year-old man suffering from non life-threatening injuries was also inside the home.

This is Durham Region’s sixth homicide of the year.

Authorities haven’t released any additional information about the crime and are asking anyone who had contact with Lewis in the days before her death to contact them at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5247 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
