Arrests Made, Pot Paraphernalia Seized As Downtown Coffee Shop Raided

It may have been cold outside, but the owners of a pot-friendly coffee shop got some unwelcome heat in Toronto's downtown core Thursday night.

Police even seized the furniture in a raid on the Kindred Cafe around 7pm.

The spot, located near College and Yonge, allegedly sold baked goods containing marijuana, as well as reportedly allowing customers to smoke dope on a rooftop patio.

Word of the bust caused a few protesters to gather outside the shop.

Two people were arrested and cops filled up the truck with not only chairs and tables, but coffee makers, vaporizers and other marijuana paraphernalia.
